Māori–Pākehā and raised between Wellington and Feilding in the Manawatū, Clive was forged by farms, freezing works, and whānau. A Stage-1, Year-1 alumnus from the very beginning, he has spent three decades under Don Smith’s mentorship—growing from participant to facilitator to leader of leaders. Clive’s ministry has stretched across New Zealand, Australia, and the United States: serving Boys’ Brigade youth in Queensland, then moving with his family into full-time ministry in Southern California. He has been instrumental in carrying the Leadership course into the U.S. and has walked with it through its entire journey—from the first cohort to stateside expansion and ongoing development.
As a trusted ambassador between the Australian course and the U.S. Leadership Course, Clive helps navigate the Dave Mills and Gage Ireland scholarships—creating a discipleship bridge that lets young men experience leadership training in both countries as part of their formation in Christ.
Today he partners through ONE&ALL Media to extend the gospel’s reach, while mentoring young men to meet Jesus, encounter His presence, be transformed, and live in relationship. He is the author of The Busboy.
